"""_________________________________________________________________________ Summary Job title Part-time Postdoctoral Researcher; The Oxford Psychological Interventions in Childhood and adolescence (TOPIC) Division Medical Sciences Department Psychiatry Location Department of Experimental Psychology, Radcliffe Observatory Quarter, Oxford Grade and salary Grade 7: £36024-£44263 per annum Hours Part time (60%FTE) Contract type Fixed-term (funded to 31 December 2026) Reporting to Dr Chloe Chessell Vacancy reference 171268 The role We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join an exciting Medical Research Council (MRC) funded project that focuses on increasing access to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for preadolescent children with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). We have worked with families and clinicians to develop a brief face-to-face/telephone therapist-supported, parent-led CBT intervention for preadolescent children with OCD. We now intend to conduct further work with families and clinicians to co-adapt a brief online version of this intervention and conduct a feasibility randomised controlled trial (RCT) and process evaluation of the brief online intervention in routine mental health services in the UK. This project will involve: (1) working with key stakeholders (i.e., parents/children with OCD, clinicians, OCD charities) to co-adapt a brief online version of the intervention, (2) conducting a feasibility RCT to determine the feasibility of (i) the brief online intervention, and (ii) a definitive RCT comparing the clinical outcomes and costeffectiveness of the brief online intervention to usual treatment in routine mental health services, and (3) to conduct a process evaluation to explore (a) the implementation and acceptability, (b) mechanisms of impact, and (c) contextual factors that affect delivery, engagement, and outcomes for the online intervention. The postholder will co-lead all aspects of this project, working closely with the study investigators. Responsibilities • Co-lead and monitor project activities, including patient and public involvement activities, site and participant recruitment, quantitative and qualitative data collection, and data analysis. • Work closely with study investigators and a range of collaborators to enable successful delivery of the project. • Contribute to the design of project materials and protocols for ethical approval • Manage own academic research and administrative activities.
