We work together to answer some of the most important questions about the causes, prevention and treatment of disease. The role We are looking for an administrative assistant to support the collection, preparation, and analysis of new and existing large-scale wearable sensor datasets. You will be an integral member of the wearables group based at Oxford, led by Aiden Doherty and directly supervised by a postdoctoral researcher in the OxWearables Research Group. There will be exciting opportunities to recruit participants and support collection of new wearable camera and accelerometer datasets with accompanying validation measurements of sleep (polysomnography) and activities of daily living (wearable cameras) in both validation and clinical studies. Our research team has access to world-leading population health data sets with objective wearable sensor measurements of sleep and physical activity linked to clinical and genomic data. For example, we play a key role in the UK Biobank activity monitoring project, where ~100,000 participants have accelerometer, genomic, hospitalisation, and mortality data collected. You will be based at the Big Data Institute, and be expected to contribute to relevant group meetings and support data generation for current and future clinical and device-validation studies.
