Part-time Weekend Invigilators (four posts)

We are seeking to appoint three to four Reading Room Invigilators to staff the
Central Bodleian Reading Rooms 10am – 4pm on Saturdays throughout the year.
Four posts working one Saturday in four are available though, depending on the
field, it may be possible for successful candidates to take on two posts and
work one Saturday in two.
You will undertake a range of library duties including issuing/returning
items, dealing with book supply/circulation queries, answering readers’
questions, upholding copyright regulations, invigilation, and book replacing
and ensuring safe evacuation of the reading room. You should have a good
general education, be reliable and punctual, be able to undertake routine
tasks with accuracy, possess good IT skills and have a strong customer focus.
Previous experience in libraries and familiarity with ALEPH / SOLO and library
databases is desirable.
We expect interviews to take place in the week beginning 20th August.
The closing date for applications is noon on 3 August 2012.
