<div> This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the library warehouse service and develop a team. The Circulation Desk Co-ordinator for each team will manage the retrievals, refiles, the scan on request service, and accessioning operations by planning the work, tasking team members, ensuring the tasks achieve the key performance indicators, and organise the van delivery. The role also involves acting as the contact point for enquiries from the Libraries and Departments.<br><br>The Circulation Desk Co-ordinator must be able to balance priorities in the context of a high workload. It is essential that individuals have experience of working in a warehouse environment, be capable of driving a forklift truck and working at height, performance manage a team, efficient planning, have the ability to motivate others to maintain high performance, and worked in an excellent customer service environment. A &#8220;can do&#8221; aptitude is also a requirement.<br><br>The BSF has a permanent shift system and operates from 0700 until 1500 and from 1400 until 2200 each day. Candidates should state their preference in their application for either the early shift Co-ordinator (starting at 0700 hours) or late shift Co-ordinator (starting at 1400 hours). These are permanent shifts.<br><br>Due to the nature of this post, candidates will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check as well as a financial background check. The possession of a criminal record or poor financial background will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.<br><br>Only applications received before midday on Thursday 1 November 2012 can be considered.
