Part-time Digital Research Librarian: Backfill

<div> THIS POST IS FOR INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY.<br><br>BDLSS (Bodleian Libraries Systems and Services) seeks to recruit an experienced Librarian to backfill 50% of the responsibilities of the Digital Research Librarian while she is engaged on another project. Working closely with the Digital Research Librarian on a part time (50%) basis. The post is available immediately and is fixed term until 31 July 2013.<br><br>This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high-profile and rapidly developing area of librarianship. You will be expected to manage and promote the ORA (Oxford University Research Archive) service, particularly concerning digital theses. As well as overseeing the continuing development of the digital thesis service in ORA, you will ascertain user requirements for delivery of born-digital scholarly materials, initiate and develop training for various aspects of the Libraries&#8217; scholarly output collections, and will liaise with a wide range of colleagues both internally at Oxford and at external organisations.<br><br>You will have a strong track record and sound knowledge in matters surrounding changes in scholarly communications. You should demonstrate good communications skills, particularly experience of liaising with a wide range of stakeholders and working with an academic audience. The Bodleian Libraries welcomes proposals from its members about secondments of existing staff.<br><br>Only applications received before midday on Monday 28 January 2013 can be considered.
