<div> The Cluster of Research Infrastructures Synergies in Physics (CRISP) is an EC FP7 project that runs until October 2014. The consortia involves 11 ESFRI projects including X-FEL, CERN, ESRF, EuroFEL, ILL, ILC-HiGrade and SKA. The project is subdivided into four areas, of which the Oxford e-Research Centre is involved in the ICT and Data Management sub area, in particular the Distributed Data Infrastructure work package. The postholder will work with other team members on the development of requirements for large-scale data distribution from the SKA's core telescopes to regional and engineering centres, as part of the Science Data Processor (SDP) works (Phases 1&amp;2). The work will also include a technology feasibility study and the development of a prototype that 'pushes the envelope' of current state of the art technologies. In addition this work will link with other work package activities with CRISP, while assessing how solutions developed can be used by other initiatives related to the SKA SDP; principally around the architecture of the SDP and its data usage, both within and outside the telescopes boundaries.<br><br>This post is funded until October 2014 and is available immediately.<br><br>The closing date for applications is 12.00 midday on Friday 5 April 2013. </div>
