We invite applications for a Research Assistant, funded by the Institute for
New Economic Thinking, to work with Professor Doyne Farmer at the Mathematical
Institute, University of Oxford. This is a part-time (20 hours per week),
fixed-term position of up to 1 year and is available for an immediate start.

The successful candidate will work on a research project on forecasting
technology costs, and in particular technology costs relating to renewable
energies such as solar power. The job involves doing time series analysis on a
data set consisting of the cost and production of a large number of different
technologies, and making predictions of their future costs.

The successful candidate will have good computer programming skills and
experience with modelling and statistical analysis is desirable but not
essential.
