<div> The Project will develop a new approach to the design, content and way of teaching the core economics curriculum &#8211; what is taught in the introductory course and intermediate micro and macro.<br><br>The project will support the production, testing and dissemination of the essential public goods (texts and ancillary materials such as curated web content, problem sets, data and writing exercises, classroom experiments, etc.) for introductory economics and intermediate micro and macro courses that will assist departments and individual faculty members in making the switch to a more up to date, relevant, and student-engaging curriculum.<br><br>The postholder is required to perform the following duties to the satisfaction of Project Director, Professor Wendy Carlin<br><br>To provide research assistance for particular elements of the project:<br><br>- Data searches<br>- Literature searches and reviews<br>- Data analysis<br>- Contribute to the drafting of the course materials<br>- Contribute to writing of research reports<br> - Presentation of findings to the project group.<br>- The performance of other duties deemed appropriate by the Project Director necessary for the successful completion of the project.<br><br>Selection Criteria:<br><br>- MSc or equivalent in Economics<br>- Strong analytic and technical capabilities in modern economic methods<br>- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, experience with editing<br><br>The closing date for applications is 12.00 noon on Monday 28 October 2013. Interviews will be held on Thursday 31 October 2013. </div>
