<div> Applications are invited for a Research Projects Administrator to support two major research projects hosted by the Faculty of English Language and Literature at the University of Oxford. The postholder&#8217;s time will be divided equally between the two projects, which are both directed by Professor Sally Shuttleworth. The projects are Constructing Scientific Communities: Citizen Science in the 19th and 21st Centuries, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council for 4 years, commencing on 1 December 2013; and The Diseases of Modern Life: Nineteenth-Century Perspectives, funded by the European Research Council for 5 years, starting on 1 February 2014.<br><br>The person appointed will play a key role in ensuring the success and smooth running of the projects. The postholder will be expected to work closely with the projects&#8217; director, the co-investigators and postdoctoral researchers, and the range of international visitors and collaborators who will be involved with each project. He or she will be responsible for supporting the director in a range of activities related to the successful management of the projects, including planning and organising events, and financial administration.<br><br>The post is fixed-term from 1 January 2014 to 31 January 2019. The post will be full-time between 1 January 2014 and 30 November 2017 while both projects are running concurrently, then part-time (0.5 FTE) from 1 December 2017 until 31 January 2019. The successful candidate will be expected to take up the position on 1 January 2014, or as soon as possible thereafter.<br><br>The closing date for applications is 12.00 midday on 11 October 2013.<br></div>
