Part-time Evening Invigilator (4 positions)

We are seeking to appoint four Evening Invigilators to staff Central Bodleian
Library Reading Rooms from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm (2 hours) on weekday nights
throughout the year. Ideally you will be able to commit to working two evening
duties per week. These are permanent posts.
You will undertake a range of library duties including issuing/returning
items, dealing with book supply/circulation queries, answering readers’
questions, upholding copyright regulations, invigilation, book replacing,
supporting the book delivery process if necessary and ensuring safe evacuation
of the reading room. You should have a good general education, be reliable and
punctual, be able to undertake routine tasks with accuracy, possess good IT
skills and have a strong customer focus. Previous experience in libraries and
familiarity with ALEPH/SOLO and library databases is desirable.
