This post involves a combination of image analysis and computational modelling
work, including the development of algorithms for the analysis of
multimodality images including the characterisation of myocardial
microstructure from Diffusion MRI, as well as the analysis of the effect of
microstructural changes on cardiac electromechanics using computational
models. The postholder will play a prominent role in ensuring interaction
between the departments involved in the project, attending project meetings
and coordinating with the other two postdoctoral researchers in the grant as
well as with other researchers in the topic. This includes weekly meetings and
seminars on different aspects of computational biology as well as more focused
ones on cardiovascular imaging and modelling. The postholder will be expected
to publish his/her research periodically in relevant conferences and journals,
and there will be a possibility to participate in co-supervision of student
projects and other teaching activities.

This is a fixed term post until 30 September 2014.
