The Conference of Colleges is a forum and a voice for the University of Oxford’s colleges and permanent private halls. It develops policy on matters of common interest and works closely with the rest of the University.<br><br>The Conference is supported by a small Secretariat. It is looking for a policy adviser to provide administrative support and advice on a wide range of academic business.<br><br>You will support the Senior Policy Adviser, managing our annual survey of college academic provision and producing drafts of minutes and papers for a number of academic-related committees. You may also become involved in other areas of the Secretariat’s work. <br><br>Excellent written and oral communications and attention to detail are key to success in this role, as are flexibility, the capacity to work on a number of projects at the same time, and managing deadlines. You will be comfortable both working in a small team and with a wide range of colleagues in the colleges and University. <br><br>This post is fixed-term for 2 years.<br><br>We are flexible as to how this 0.5FTE part-time post is structured, though we would expect the successful candidate to attend key committees and meetings during term.<br><br>Please send a completed application form, a CV and a note setting out how you meet each of the five high-level competences in the job description, using no more than 200 words for each competence.
