<div> For the first step in your career in Librarianship/Information Management, Oxford&#8217;s one year traineeships provide an excellent launch-pad for subsequent postgraduate qualifications and a professional career. Thirteen vacancies are available commencing September 2014 based in research, faculty and departmental libraries within Bodleian Libraries. <br><br>Trainees at Oxford benefit from on-the-job training, professional and social support, and a varied programme of weekly training events (talks, workshops, library visits, IT training) operated under the SCONUL Code of Practice. The trainees play an integral part in the smooth running of their library but individual and group project work is also encouraged. Posts are aimed at graduates (of all ages) with good IT skills, a flexible and customer-orientated approach, and a desire to progress to a postgraduate qualification in librarianship. Applications are welcomed from graduates in any discipline. However, we are always interested in receiving applications from those with a background in science/medicine, law, or European languages (including Russian).<br><br>Applications for this vacancy are to be made online.<br><br>You will be required to upload a covering letter of no more than 1000 words, a CV, and the graduate trainee question template as part of your online application.<br><br>Only applications received before 12.00 midday on Monday 10 February 2014 can be considered.
