This is a technical role working on the Astro-Accelerate project. The purpose
of the project is to produce many-core accelerated software which is used for
real-time data processing in pulsar and fast radio burst surveys. The software
supports the ARTEMIS real-time surveys, currently making use of the Low
Frequency Array (LOFAR), with other major radio telescopes commencing similar
surveys in the near future. The role involves designing, producing and
evaluating highly optimised modular software for many-core platforms, such as
GPUs or Xeon Phi.

The purpose of this post is to assist in the design, development and
evaluation of many-core accelerated software for the real-time data processing
of ARTEMIS survey data. Existing C++ software takes care of data movement
between processing modules and data persistence. Each modular component of the
pipeline is responsible for one part of the data processing toolchain.
Currently one of these modules has been successfully accelerated using GPUs
(programmed using the CUDU language) however several other modules are
targeted for many-core acceleration.
