A general administrative post is available in the Department of Pharmacology
for a fixed-term period to assist with finance, HR and general admin duties.
On a day-to-day basis the postholder will be working closely with the
Pharmacology Finance Assistant dealing with orders and other financial
administration but will also be expected to assist other administrative staff
where required, e.g. dealing with personnel issues and covering reception
staff.

Applicants should have experience of working in an office environment;
excellent IT skills, including experience of Word, Excel, Powerpoint and
Outlook; a good level of numeracy; proven communication skills and the ability
to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures and to take on new tasks
with appropriate training and guidance.

This job offers a good introduction to the financial and HR processes of the
University.

The post is offered on a fixed-term basis for 12 months, with funding provided
by the Medical Research Council.

The closing date for applications is 12.00 noon on Monday 7 April 2014.
