Part-time Administrative Officer (maternity cover)

<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> The role of this maternity cover is to provide administrative support to the Centre&#8217;s Director, Professor Sir David Hendry relating to the research activities of the Institute. There is flexibility concerning the distribution of total working hours (0.5 FTE, 18.25 hours per week) although the postholder must work at least one-full day per week (7.5 hrs).<br><br>The Institute for Economic Modelling (EMoD) is a research centre in the Department of Economics, jointly affiliated with the Institute for New Economic Thinking (INET -founded by George Soros in 2009) and the Oxford Martin School. The administrative and research offices of EMoD are based in Eagle House, Jericho, Oxford. <br><br>Research activities focus on investigating the difficulties that economic analyses, policy, empirical modelling and forecasting all confront when there are sudden, or very rapid unanticipated changes, and will develop alternative approaches to improve on those currently extant. The Institute is both intrinsically interdisciplinary and outward looking with close links to the Central European University, Budapest.<br><br>Duties and Responsibilities:<br><br>- PA to the Director.<br>- Administration of the Visitors Scheme.<br>- Events organisation.<br>- Management of office space in Eagle House.<br>- Ordering of supplies.<br>- Maintenance of the centre&#8217;s website.<br>- Liaison with Economics Department relating to personnel and financial matters.<br>- Liaison with Oxford Martin administrative staff relating to joint research activities.<br><br>This is a maternity cover position, 1 June 2014 &#8211; 3 April 2015. <br><br>The closing date for applications is 12.00 noon on Monday 28 April 2014. </div>
