Part-time Collections Support Assistant

The Bodleian Libraries are seeking to appoint a Collections Support Assistant
to help with the relocation of our unique special collections to the newly
refurbished Weston Library. This part-time (0.5FTE) position is fixed-term for
22 months.
The role involves preparatory work to ensure the adequate documentation and
inventory control of Special Collections including manuscripts, rare books,
printed ephemera and music collections.
You will be educated to GCSE level or equivalent and be able to demonstrate
the ability to work with care, and accuracy. You will possess good general IT
literacy. With a record of excellent time-keeping, you will be able to
organise work effectively and to meet deadlines, working as part of a team.
The ability to lift and carry boxes of books and documents is required.
Due to the nature of this post, candidates will be required to undertake a
Disclosure Scotland check as well as a financial background check. The
possession of a criminal record or poor financial background will not
necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are
judged individually according to the nature of the role and information
provided.
You will be required to upload a supporting statement as part of your online
application. Your supporting statement should list each of the essential and
desirable selection criteria, as listed in the further particulars, and
