<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> The Department of Social Policy and Intervention and the Institute for New Economic Thinking at the Oxford Martin School are seeking to appoint two Research Officers to work on the Employment, Equity and Growth (EEG) programme of research recently established through a partnership between the Resolution Foundation, the Institute for New Economic Thinking, and the Department of Social Policy and Intervention.<br><br>The main goal of the project is to understand the linkages between the extent and nature of economic growth in developed countries, earnings in the labour market, income inequality and living standards, and the long-term (including intergenerational) implications of recent trends, and to help frame policy responses that may be effective in promoting rising living standards for the &#8216;middle and below&#8217; group. <br><br>You will be working with Professor Brian Nolan, and will undertake analysis and empirical research; work in close collaboration with collaborators within and beyond the university; present findings and research outputs; and make a major contribution to the achievement of the goals of the project.<br><br>You will have a PhD in economics, social policy, sociology or another relevant social science discipline, with a strong foundation in quantitative analysis. You will have demonstrated the capacity to produce high-quality peer-reviewed publications on relevant topics, build research collaborations and engagements, and present research findings to seminars, workshops and conferences. In-depth knowledge of research on the core topics to be addressed in the programme is highly desirable. <br><br>These are full-time fixed-term posts for 3 years starting on 1 September 2014 or as soon as possible thereafter. <br><br>Applications for this vacancy are to be made online.
