Part-time Web Developer

Applications for this vacancy closed on 28 July 2014 at 12:00PM
We’re looking for a highly versatile, motivated and quick-to-learn, web
developer/programmer to join a team of four supporting the faculties of Modern
Languages, Linguistics, Philology and Phonetics. We currently provide support
for a number of faculty and research project sites running on Ubuntu LTS via a
clustered Xen virtual infrastructure. You will be responsible for the periodic
redesign of the websites for the two faculties, the maintenance and further
development of a number of PHP/MySQL web applications and the Weblearn
presence.

We need someone who is flexible and creative, with very strong technical and
design skills. You should have already worked extensively in a CMS development
environment (development work here is currently done under Drupal 6/7) but
also be comfortable in a bespoke coding environment. You should also have the
ability to work as part of a team as well as independently, and have good
communication skills. If you are enthusiastic about creating compelling
websites and would like to work on high profile projects then we'd love to
hear from you.

This is a permanent, part-time post working 25 hours a week (0.67 FTE).

The closing date for applications is 12.00 noon on 28 July 2014.
