Part-time Library Assistant (term-time only)

<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> We are seeking a customer focused part-time Library Assistant to work as part of a small team in the iconic and busy Radcliffe Camera, which houses the History Faculty Library and Bodleian English and History undergraduate collections. <br><br>Working evenings during term-time only, you will support the provision of Bodleian Radcliffe Camera library services and assist in the running of the Lower Camera circulation desk. You will also be required to re-sensitise returned books, sort them for re-shelving and finally place them back on the shelf. The work is physical but also requires a good eye for detail, accuracy and the ability to work independently. <br><br>Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team are essential. An ability to do routine library work under pressure with accuracy and reliability along with good interpersonal skills are also important. Experience of library work and familiarity with ALEPH/library databases would be an advantage, but full training will be given as necessary. <br><br>This is a part-time post, working evenings during term-time only. You will be required to work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm and on Wednesday from 2.00 pm to 7.00 pm.<br><br>You will be required to upload a supporting statement as part of your online application.
