Part-time Office Assistant

<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <p>The Department of Plant Sciences is seeking to recruit an Office Assistant to provide administrative support across the departmental administrative functions, including filing, photocopying and printing, producing and maintaining sources of information on the website and in publications. Helping with arrangements for events including room booking, catering, travel and accommodation arrangements; schedules of meetings for visitors. Help with the publication of departmental events, assist with departmental committees and meetings. Create and maintain spreadsheets and other data tables. Provide reception cover when required.</p> <p>The postholder should have previous administration experience and reception or customer facing work, excellent communication skills and should be self-motivated with the ability to work independently, and a willingness to resolve situations, the ability to organise own workload and to work to deadlines, evidenced by formal qualifications at (e.g. BTEC ND, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent), ability to organise events and make administrative arrangements, ability to use standard computer programs (Outlook, Word, Excel) and databases.
