Senior Library Assistant (Reader Services)

The English Faculty Library, one of the largest and busiest of Oxford’s
Humanities lending libraries, is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and
versatile person with a strong commitment to the delivery of high-quality
services.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain professional experience in a varied
and interesting role. You would make a substantial contribution to reader
services in the EFL, including responsibility for circulation, induction and
information skills training. You should be able to demonstrate excellent IT,
administrative and interpersonal skills as well as an appropriate level of
subject expertise and previous experience of working in academic libraries.
You should enjoy working as part of our small team as well as independently.

This is a permanent and full-time post and the postholder will be encouraged
to work towards chartered membership of CILIP for which support is available
at Oxford.

You will be required to upload a supporting statement as part of your online
application. Your supporting statement should list each of the essential and
desirable selection criteria, as listed in the further particulars, and

process.
