<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <p></p><p>The Centre is seeking a Research Associate for the EU FP7 funded Smart Society project, which is researching the emergence of Hybrid and Diversity Aware Collective Adaptive Systems (HDA-CAS).</p><br><p>The RA will work on orchestration of distributed systems, with a particular focus on design and deployment of social computation within a Web Architecture, and of allocation and reasoning over resources in dynamic and potentially incomplete environments. The role will primarily be within the compositonality and social orchestion work package of the project, which provides the 'glue' between the individual computations and contributions of participating peers, interweaving them into complex, distributed networks of activity that are robust to heterogenity, failure, and unexpected behaviour.</p><br><p>Further information about the project can be found at the project website: <a rel="nofollow" href="http:%20//www.smart-society-project.eu/">www.smart-society-project.eu/</a>.</p><br><p>This post is fixed-term for 1 year depending on start date.</p><br><p>The closing date for applications is 12.00 noon on 12 November 2015; Interviews will be held on 26 November 2015.</p> </div>
