<p></p><p>The Department of Social Policy and Intervention and the Institute for New Economic Thinking at the Oxford Martin School are seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Officer to work on the Employment, Equity and Growth (EEG) programme.</p><br><p>The project aims to understand the linkages between the extent and nature of economic growth in developed countries, earnings in the labour market, income inequality and living standards, and the long-term (including intergenerational) implications of recent trends, and to help frame policy responses that may be effective in promoting rising living standards for the middle and below group. You will be working with Professor Brian Nolan, the Director of EEG. The interdisciplinary research team (www.inet.ox.ac.uk/programmes/equity) comprises two other postdoctoral research fellows and two DPhil students, together with research affiliates from within and outside Oxford including Sir Tony Atkinson and Professor John Muellbauer.</p><br><p>You will have a PhD in economics, social policy, sociology or another relevant social science discipline, with a strong foundation in quantitative analysis. You will have demonstrated the capacity to produce high-quality peer-reviewed publications on relevant topics, build research collaborations and engagements, and present research findings to seminars, workshops and conferences. In-depth knowledge of research on the core topics to be addressed in the programme is highly desirable.</p><br><p>This is a full-time post, for a fixed-term of 2 years, starting on 1 January 2016 or as soon as possible thereafter.</p><br><p>Applications for this vacancy are to be made online.</p><br><p>Only applications received promptly by 12.00 noon on 16 December 2015 can be considered.</p>
