The postholder will work on Dr Tom Kuhn’s AHRC-funded research project ‘Brecht
into English’ under the direction of the PI for a fixed-term of 8 months. They
will be available to work at least 1 day a week in Oxford, and PI and RA will
have at least monthly formal meetings throughout the period of the
appointment. They will be involved in all aspects of the project, at all
stages.

In particular, they will:





* undertake their own translations of material and take on editing tasks within the project;


* manage the day-to-day financial affairs, assist with applications for further funding, and have (with the PI) oversight of the finances of the project and the budget for the IBS conference;


* assist in organising the IBS conference in Oxford in June 2016, as well as with other workshops, conferences and other events in Oxford and elsewhere as they arise;


* assist in developing a cultural and outreach programme;


* maintain the project website, Twitter feed and Facebook page;


* maintain the database of poems in translation, and assist with editorial work on the projected Collected Poems volume;


* play a major role in preparing volumes for publication, including Me-Ti and the Collected Poems;


* contribute their own original work to conferences and publications, as appropriate;


* undertake any other duties, commensurate with the role, proposed by the PI.
