The Estates Services’ Facilities Management team is responsible for the day-
to-day management of the Sheldonian Theatre, Oxford University’s ceremonial
hall. The theatre is used for academic purposes but is also hired out for
concerts, events and is open to tourists.

The key function of the Operations and Events Supervisor role is to manage
academic and commercial events at the theatre ensuring all customer needs are
met and that a consistently high level of service is delivered for every
event. Formal and informal feed-back will need to be documented post events
and the role will involve working closely with the Operations Manager and
Event Administrator to suggest continuous improvements and changes to service
delivery. Essential to the role is the management of a team of staff. Other
administrative duties associated with the running of the theatre will be

will be agreed in advance.
