Typically these are expected to take the form of (i) the infrastructural elements, such as triplestores, RESTful RDF services and APIs, and client software and libraries that access and use these services in the text and musicology domain applications; (ii) schemas and ontologies (e.g. in OWL) that semantically structure, organise, and link the domain data for ease of retrieval, reasoning, and reuse; and (iii) software through which researchers can access and interrogate these linked resources in the course of their research. In particular the post holder will develop the tools and new research methods with which scholars can combine these three elements to undertake novel work within their discipline that was not previously possible due to the limitations of ‘data siloes’. The postholder will manage their own academic research and administrative activities, including small scale project management, collaborate in the preparation of research publications (including papers and book chapters), and present their work at conferences or other public events.

This is a 1 year fixed-term post starting on 1 September 2016.

The closing date for applications is 12.00 noon on 25 May 2016.
