Part-time HR Officer, Systems and Statistics

Applications for this vacancy closed on 8 August 2016 at 12:00PM
We are looking for a numerate and highly organised part-time HR Officer to
join our busy personnel administrative team.

Working closely with other members of the personnel team, the main focus of
your role will be to interpret and analyse Excel data and to provide key
management information to managers and staff using our Human Resources
Information System (HRIS).

It is essential that you have the ability to plan, are customer service
focused and able to use your initiative. You will also have the ability to
work accurately with high attention to detail, to carry out sensitive
personnel related tasks and to be proactive in solving problems.

You will have excellent IT, Excel and database skills, a proven ability to
understand, interpret and apply complex policies and procedures, and either
have or be working towards a CIPD qualification.

This is a part-time post and is part of a job share. Working 16.5 hours per
week (0.45 FTE), the working days are expected to be Wednesday afternoon,
Thursday and Friday.

Owing to the nature of this post, candidates will be required to undertake a
Disclosure Scotland check as well as a financial background check. The
possession of a criminal record or poor financial background will not
necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are
judged individually according to the nature of the role and the information
provided.

This post is part of a pilot scheme testing a new Supporting Evidence form in
place of the more usual ‘supporting statement’. Please ensure that you
carefully read the How to Apply section provided in the Job Description, which
you can download below along with the required Supporting Evidence form. CVs
will not form part of the selection process.

Only applications received before 12.00 midday on Monday 8 August 2016 can be
considered. Interviews are expected to take place during the weeks commencing
15 and 22 August 2016.
