<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <p></p><p>THIS VACANCY IS FOR INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY</p><br><p>A dedicated and self-motivated research scientist is required to provide computational and analytical support for a series of projects investigating the functional organisation of synaptic circuits in the mammalian brain. The scientist will join an exciting research group that is using a combination of electrophysiological and new live cell imaging techniques to study synaptic connectivity and synaptic plasticity in vivo. They will be involved in the implementation of new data analysis pipelines, both for the acquisition of experimental data and the offline processing of this data. They will be expected to validate these data analysis pipelines and then support ongoing projects by instructing other group members in the use and development of these methods.</p><br><p>Together with a PhD in a relevant discipline, the successful candidate will be required to have experience in one or more of the following areas: in vivo recording and/or imaging, large-scale data analysis, stimulus-presentation methods.</p><br><p>The post is part-time (66%FTE) and fixed-term for 18 months, funded by the European Research Council.</p><br><p>The closing date for applications is 12.00 noon on Friday 9 September 2016.</p> </div>
