<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <p></p><p>We are seeking an IT Officer (part-time) to join one of the UK's leading academic law libraries. This is a permanent, part-time position for 18 hours per week, with hours to be distributed between 8.45am and 5.30pm weekdays.</p><br><p>The postholder will: provide technical support to Bodleian Law Library readers and staff, and maintain and develop databases or software for service and administrative purposes; plan and manage technical aspects of short-term local projects involving IT, in co-operation with senior library staff; support the IT aspects of the Legal Research and Mooting Skills Programme; co-ordinate and co-operate with the University IT Services.</p><br><p>You will: have proven expertise in IT and experience of delivering IT support (hardware and software) in a customer service environment; be an excellent communicator and have an enthusiasm for learning new skills; be well organised and able to work accurately under pressure; be able to demonstrate an understanding of data protection issues; be educated to A-Level standard (or have equivalent experience); have a university degree or equivalent certification of IT skills. Experience of working in an academic or library environment and an interest in teaching IT-related topics are desirable.</p><br><p>Owing to the nature of this post, candidates will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check as well as a financial background check.
