Impact and Evaluation Officer

Applications for this vacancy closed on 20 March 2017 at 12:00PM
The Humanities Division seeks an Impact and Evaluation Officer to support
academic colleagues in understanding how to undertake and record impact, how
to capture data about research and evaluate its impact, and how to construct
an effective and coherent narrative for REF Impact Case Studies with
underpinning evidence. This is a full-time, fixed-term role until 31 December
2020.

You will be the first point of contact for support and advice on maximising
the reach and significance of research impact, working closely with faculty
academic and administrative impact leads, individual researchers, and research
facilitators. You will need to be able to build strong links with both
academic and Professional Staff in impact-related roles across Oxford and
beyond, and to be thoroughly informed about developments in government and
research funder policies.

The post requires the exercise of judgement, responsibility, tact, and
attention to detail while working in a busy and complex research environment.
Its reward is to be embedded at the heart of one of the world’s finest
universities helping colleagues to demonstrate the impact of what they do best
– their research – in the wider world.

For an informal discussion about the post, please contact Andrew Fairweather-
Tall, Head of Humanities Research Support (tel: 01865 270567; email:
andrew.fairweather-tall@humanities.ox.ac.uk).

Applications must be submitted online. You will be required to upload your CV
and a supporting statement as part of your online application.

The closing date for applications is 12.00 noon on Monday 20 March 2017.
