The Student Systems Support Centre is responsible for the support of the
SITS:Vision system, as well as a number of legacy systems, for the development
of the student systems’ roadmap and for process improvement for all student
systems users.



As Senior Support Advisor, you will perform a crucial role in providing users
with a first line of support; acknowledging and responding to queries received
by phone, email and other means providing users (students and staff) with
assistance and supplying solutions to queries. The postholder will assist the
First Line Support Manager in defining standards, documenting operating
procedures and monitoring the quality of the service.



The postholder will also be required to take ownership of more complex
incidents and problems, working closely with the Second Line Support Team.



As well as a good general standard level of education, you will possess a
willingness to learn and an ability to acquire new skills quickly. You will
have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and have proven
experience in a customer orientated role within a complex organisation. You
should demonstrate strong administrative and organisational skills, with the
ability to prioritise according to business and user requirements. You will
have a high level of IT literacy and have the ability to articulate complex
technical ideas and solutions in language non-experts can understand.
