The apprenticeship will last for 2 years, and during this time you will work alongside experienced colleagues, learning on-the-job. You will also study for relevant qualifications in Business Administration at Abingdon and Witney College.</p><br> <p>Becoming an Apprentice at the University of Oxford is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience and training. For more information visit: www.apprenticeships.ox.ac.uk</p><br> <p>This post offers an excellent opportunity to gain employment experience within an Academic Administration function, while obtaining vocational qualifications. You will assist on a variety of tasks including, but not limited to: welcoming students and dealing with their routine enquiries, providing general administrative support for the office, and assisting with event logistics such as booking and preparing rooms for teaching, and organising catering.</p><br> <p>You should have, or be expected to obtain GCSEs including English and Maths (at grade C or above, or evidence of predicted grades), and be a proficient user of IT (Microsoft Office). You will have the ability to develop good working relationships with colleagues through effective communication and interpersonal skills, understand the importance of good customer service, and demonstrate an enthusiasm and aptitude for the skills taught in the Apprenticeship. Previous experience of working in an office environment or administrative role is highly desirable, as is are GCSEs in IT or Business Studies.</p><br> <p>This role will not attract sufficient points to obtain a sponsored tier 2 visa under the points based immigration system, however applications are welcome from candidates who don&#8217;t currently have the right to work in the UK, but who would be eligible to obtain a visa via another route.</p><br> <p>To apply for this opportunity please visit: https://www.findapprenticeship.service.gov.uk/apprenticeship/-166550</p><br> <p>Only applications received before 12.00 noon on 23 August 2017 can be considered.
