Personal Assistant to Professors

An opening for a full-time Personal Assistant has arisen in the secretarial
team to provide high-quality PA support to the Algorithms and Complexity
Theory research theme which is currently led by Professor Leslie Goldberg. The
theme has association of a number of other Professors and the postholder will
specifically work with Professors Elias Koutsoupias and Paul Goldberg and
their research groups. In addition, the postholder will also support Professor
Niki Trigoni, of the Cyber Physical Systems research group.
You will be responsible for a range of tasks including diary management,
making complex travel arrangements and itineraries, and arranging meetings.
You will also be required to provide administrative support to the organisers
of conferences, seminars, meetings, and events in the department, as well as
any other secretarial duties as requested by the Department Administrator or
the PA to the Head of Department to ensure the smooth running of the
Department.
The ideal candidate will have experience of diary management, including making
complex travel arrangements and should have excellent written communication
and presentation skills in order to draft correspondence and produce well-
presented reports. Experience of using financial information systems (e.g.
Oracle Financials) and previous experience within a Higher Education
environment is desirable.
