NDM has an exciting opportunity for a skilled web professional to join its
strategic team. You will join the current Web Development Officer in
maintaining, extending and providing support for our existing in-house
systems, and manage and maintain the department’s websites. You will be
required to create graphics for the web and print using PhotoShop and
Illustrator.

Initially, a large proportion of the role will be to migrate the department’s
portfolio of websites (approx. 30 instances) from its bespoke CMS to the
Divisional CMS, Haiku. As well as moving existing content you will create new
media for the sites including images, banners and animations. You will be
expected to provide the on-going management and maintenance of the sites,
becoming the super-user and key point of contact for the department’s various
webmasters, including training new staff on the CMS. You will be provided with
full training on the CMS.

It is essential that you have demonstrable practical experience with creating
graphics using PhotoShop, Illustrator and After Effects and a proven record of
website content editing using a content management system, ideally WordPress.
You must have excellent organisation skills with ability to plan ahead, set
priorities and work to deadlines and a proven ability to work on your own
initiative and resolve issues independently. Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills, with the ability to liaise with staff at all levels is
also essential.

The post is available for a fixed-term of 2 years.

You are not required to upload a CV but should include a supporting statement,
outlining how you meet the criteria for the role.

Only applications received by 12.00 noon on Monday 9 October 2017 can be
considered. Interviews are expected to take place the week commencing 16
October 2017.
