We are seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Scientific
Computing to join the Scientific Computing Group at the Oxford e-Research
Centre, Department of Engineering Science. The post is funded by STFC and ERC
and is fixed-term until 31 December 2018.



The postholder will work on the AstroAccelerate project that focuses on
developing GPU accelerated software for processing time-domain radio astronomy
data in real-time.



You will be responsible for: helping with the development of GPU accelerated
software for processing astronomy data in real-time; managing existing code
base; incorporating new code (written in c and CUDA) into our existing code
base; maintaining documentation and web presentation of our work; responding
to questions from the user community.



You should hold a relevant PhD/DPhil in physics, mathematics, computer science
or a related subject (or near completion) together with relevant experience.
Good coding standards, proficiency in a Linux like environment and experience
in signal processing or radio astronomy are essential. Ability to manage git
repositories.
