Our World in Data is a non-profit, creative commons web publication based at
The Oxford Martin School which makes research about global issues freely
available to everyone. We cover topics like extreme poverty, fertility rates,
income inequality, polio, and climate change, using data visualisations to
convey complex information in an accessible way.

If you have, or are close to obtaining, a PhD/DPhil in a relevant area and can
demonstrate specialist expertise in economics, demography, population health
sciences, global health, epidemiology or public health to benefit the research
programme, excellent communication skills, including the ability to
disseminate complex research to the general public, then this role within the
Our World in Data team is for you!

As a Postdoctoral Research Officer, you will not only manage your own research
but also contribute to the management and coordination of research activities
across Our World in Data’s remit, as well as suggesting new areas for the team
to explore. As a member of the team, you will work with Dr Max Roser to:
contribute ideas for new research projects, work independently to prepare
working theories, gather, analyse and present qualitative and/or quantitative
data from a variety of sources and prepare, review and publish articles and
data visualisations for the Our World in Data website.

This post is fixed-term for 2 years.

The closing date for applications is 12.00 noon on Wednesday 2 May 2018.
