An opportunity is available in the Faculty of Theology and Religion at the
University of Oxford for a highly motivated and capable administrator to
manage and direct a Faculty administration, with support from the Humanities
Divisional office. This is a fixed-term, full-time position for 1 year while
the permanent postholder is on secondment. The start date is December 2018.
The post could be filled on a secondment basis, if appropriate.



The Head of Administration is responsible for the effective and efficient day-
to-day operation of the Faculty, leading a team of five administrative staff.
Adept at strategic planning, you will work closely with the Faculty’s academic
staff and liaise regularly with administrators, research facilitators, and
finance staff within the Humanities Divisional Office. You will have
administrative experience within higher/further education, a public sector
environment or other large, complex organization, including experience of
personnel management, financial management, and committee servicing. You will
have strong organisational skills together with the ability to prioritise and
delegate appropriately. You will be an accomplished communicator with
effective interpersonal skills, able to work with and inspire confidence in a
wide range of people across the University.
