Faculty REF Support Officer

The Humanities Division is recruiting a Faculty REF Support Officer to provide
administrative support across a range of Faculties (Departments). The Research
Evaluation Framework (REF) is the UKs system for assessing the quality of
research in UK higher education institutions. The next REF will be conducted
in 2021, with submission in November 2020.
Reporting to the Humanities Divisions REF Project Manager, the Faculty REF
Support Officer will provide specialist administrative support for the REF
submission across Faculties in the Division. This role works closely with the
Faculties' Heads of Administration and Finance and the academic REF Unit of
Assessment Coordinator (UOAC) for each Faculty where relevant.
You will be expected to organise your work in collaboration with each Faculty,
to bring your knowledge and experience to support our administrative systems,
and to play a full part in supporting all aspects of the REF2021.
The role-holder will be required to work independently across Faculties,
managing time and expectations across the Faculties, and providing high level
support. The person in this role will work across the various elements of REF
from collation of staff data and outputs to supporting the work needed to
draft the narrative elements of the submission.
