<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <p></p><p>Proctors&#146; Officers provide security-related services for University events and ceremonies, co-ordinating and planning security and marshalling, supervising on-the-ground staff and liaising with external agencies such as the police and local authorities. They carry out duties to support the work of the Proctors&#146; Office and other key offices within the University and investigate non-academic breaches of statues and regulations by students and other matters that fall within the jurisdiction of the University.</p><br> <p>We are seeking candidates interested in working full-time during University term (three 10-week terms) and for two weeks in the summer (usually July) during the Degree Ceremony period. If you have good written and oral communication skills, can display maturity and self-discipline, and are keen to help the University provide professional and efficient security-related services, we would love to hear from you.</p><br> <p>A background in providing security services and experience of working in a supervisory role would be an advantage, but they are not essential, as training will be provided.</p><br> <p>Proctors&#146; Officers are frequently required to work unsocial hours (with overtime) and are expected to work on their own initiative, with minimum supervision, working under the direction of the Deputy Marshal/Principal Proctors&#146; Officer.</p><br> <p>The closing date for applications is 12.00 noon on 26 November 2018. Interviews are anticipated to take place in the week commencing 10 December 2018.</p> </div>
