Open-Oxford-Cambridge AHRC DTP2 Finance Officer and Humanities Division Finance Officer

Applications for this vacancy closed on 7 January 2019 at 12:00PM
THIS IS A RE-ADVERTISEMENT. PREVIOUS APPLICANTS NEED NOT APPLY.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual to support financial
management in two areas: the Open-Oxford-Cambridge AHRC Doctoral Training
Partnership, and the Humanities Division at Oxford. The DTP is a new
consortium of the three universities, of which Oxford is the leading research
partner, for doctoral training and funding in the Humanities. This is an
exciting opportunity to help design the processes and financial management at
the inception of the partnership.

For one part of the role, you will provide a range of accounting, budgeting
and financial processing services to the Open-Oxford-Cambridge DTP. You will
build relationships and work closely and collaboratively with academic,
administrative and finance colleagues across the three universities. For the
other part of the role, you will provide services to the Humanities Division
in relation to Oxford’s financial contribution to DTP2, as well as in relation
to other research council studentships. You will work closely with the
Humanities Education Support team.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who will have a proactive
approach to the role. Educated to degree level (or with equivalent
experience), you will have previous experience in a finance-based role, good
IT skills with experience of large-scale financial systems, and the ability to
communicate effectively with people at all levels and to organize your own
workload. Experience of working in an education environment, and knowledge of
Oracle Financials, are desirable.

For informal enquiries about the post, please contact the Divisional Financial
Controller, Charlotte Taylor (charlotte.taylor@admin.ox.ac.uk).

Applications for this post must be made online. You will be required to upload
a CV and supporting statement as part of your application.

The deadline for applications is 12.00 noon on Monday 7 January 2019.
Interviews are expected to take place on 21 or 22 January 2019.
