Part-time Research Project Administrator

The Project Administrator will provide coordinated support for an exciting new
Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) research grant Unlocking the
Potential of Artificial Intelligence for English Law. This project, based in
the University of Oxford, is interdisciplinary, involving colleagues from
Computer Science, Economics, Education, Law, Social Policy and the Saïd
Business School who will be working together with a range of private-sector
partners. The postholder will report to Karen Eveleigh, Faculty Research
Facilitator, but will work on a day-to-day basis with the project Principal
Investigator (‘PI’), Professor John Armour, and a number of project Co-
Investigators (‘Co-I’s)



The successful candidate will provide administrative and financial support for
the project, including coordination of meetings of the project’s governance
bodies and with private-sector partners; manage financial information for the
project governance team; provide support for organising project research
workshops and educational training sessions and assist with communicating
project results and developments through web, print and social media.



Applicants must have similar experience of financial or grant administration,
including managing budgets; excellent communications skills, attention to
detail and a high level of accuracy; excellent administrative and organisation
skills, including experience of organising events and have a good general
level of education including Mathematics and English (grades A* - C) to GCSE
or equivalent standard



The post is part-time (18.25 hours per week or 0.5 FTE) and fixed-term until
31 December 2020.



The closing date for applications is 12.00 midday on Thursday 3 January 2019.
Interviews for the post will be held on Monday 7 January or Wednesday 9
January 2019.
