Part-time Evening Library Assistant (term-time)

The Bodleian Law Library is one of the largest academic law libraries in the
country, and provides services to readers from the University, wider academia,
and the legal profession. This is a part-time, term-time only position for 6
hours per week in term
You will join the team that provides the Bodleian Law Librarys evening
services. You will answer directional enquires, help readers to use the online
catalogue, and provide initial assistance with equipment that includes
printers and photocopiers. You will issue books, and share in book shelving
and tidying duties. Other tasks include collecting statistics and handling
money. Good time-keeping is essential.
You are able to demonstrate good IT skills, a proven commitment to customer
service and experience of working collaboratively with colleagues. You work
carefully and accurately and show discretion when dealing with sensitive
information. Experience of working in a library or similar environment, or
with legal materials, is desirable.
You will be required to upload a supporting statement as part of your online
application. Your supporting statement should list each of the essential and
desirable selection criteria, as listed in the further particulars, and
explain how you meet each one. CVs will not form part of the selection
process.

be considered. Interviews are expected to take place on Wednesday 13 March
