Part-time Project Support Coordinator

Applications for this vacancy closed on 3 May 2019 at 12:00PM
The Humanities Division is seeking a Part-time Project Support Coordinator
until 30 September 2023 (fixed-term; 0.8 FTE) to provide administrative and
finance support for two major European Research Council projects. The
successful applicant will work closely with the Principal Investigators of
each grant, Professor Jeremy Johns and Professor Nicolai Sinai, and will
contribute significantly to the successful management of the division’s large
externally-funded research portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to
develop a career in university administration and to be involved with
researchers at the cutting edge of their fields of study.

The appointee will ensure that the projects are run efficiently and
effectively, in liaison with the academic leads, team members and the Head of
Administration and Finance. You will also play a key role in organising the
projects’ varied research and public engagement activities and will be the
first point of contact for all external and internal enquiries.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a high degree of pro-
activity, flexibility, and self-motivation and be able to trouble-shoot
problems. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and
an understanding of research in the humanities, combined with the ability to
develop and continually improve processes and a capacity to prioritise varied,
complex and competing demands in a busy working environment.

Informal enquiries are welcome and should be made to Louise Botley
(louise.botley@humanities.ox.ac.uk) or Martha Buckley
(martha.buckley@humanities.ox.ac.uk).

Applications must be made online. Applicants will be required to upload a CV
and supporting statement as part of their application.

The closing date for applications is 12.00 noon on Friday 3 May 2019.
Interviews are expected to be held on Tuesday 21 May 2019.
