<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <p></p><p>Supported by the Bodleian Libraries and the Humanities Division, the Head of the Centre for Digital Scholarship and Digital Humanities Research Support is an exciting University-wide role. We are looking for a leading figure with a strong international reputation to shape the strategic direction of the Centre, to play a pivotal role in Digital Humanities at Oxford including as Director of its summer school programme, and to contribute to the wider development of Digital Scholarship across the University.</p><br> <p>We are looking for someone with a strong commitment to excellence and innovation to develop and enhance Oxford&#8217;s support for research. Applicants will be senior professional staff with experience of working in complex organisations with multiple stakeholders, and with a track record of strategic project planning. Based jointly in the Bodleian Libraries and Humanities Division, working with colleagues across the University, the postholder must balance strategic insight with excellent organisational skills to identify new opportunities while leading the further development of the vision and strategic case for ongoing sustainability of Digital Humanities research data. This includes responsibility for two key projects: the Digital Humanities at Oxford Summer School, and to contribute substantively to the new MSt in Digital Humanities.</p><br> <p>The postholder will work across and beyond Oxford to build effective working relationships, in particular by inspiring confidence within the academic community, and in developing key external collaborative partnerships. They will help create a safe space to work digitally with data, including but not limited to Bodleian digital collections. They will look to develop the Centre for Digital Scholarship as a point of contact for those working at the cutting edge of digital scholarship who wish to shape new directions in analysis or forge new working relationships. A first degree in a subject or discipline relevant to digital scholarship and/or humanities.is essential, as is demonstrating a track-record of leadership in, and delivery of, collaborative projects, knowledge of the issues and trends in digital scholarship/humanities, and a proven ability to develop strong collaborative relationships with academic and professional staff at every career stage.</p><br> <p>Applications must be made online.
