The Head of Humanities Strategic Planning and Projects is a member of the
senior leadership team for the Humanities Division, responsible for managing
the major annual planning rounds, for leading strategic projects and business
change activity across the division, along with oversight of risk management,
health and safety, and IT and systems matters. This is a challenging position
requiring excellent skills in strategic thinking, developing and implementing
policy, written and oral communication, personnel management, and committee
servicing. You will work largely independently, and will need to relate well
to staff at all levels, having the ability to deal sensitively and tactfully
with complex situations.



One of the University’s four academic divisions, the Humanities Division is
made up of ten academic faculties, with over 500 academic staff and
approximately 6000 undergraduate and postgraduate students. The Humanities
Division has embarked on a major building project on the Radcliffe Observatory
Quarter, following the recent announcement of the £150 million gift to create
the Stephen A. Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities.



This role is permanent and full-time.
