Apprentice First Line IT Support Officer

This is an exciting opportunity to work as an apprentice IT Service Desk and
AV Support Technician supporting the 10 faculties of the Humanities Division.
Working as part of a friendly team you will be the first point of contact for
day-to-day requests for help and will be involved in both desktop and network
support and maintenance. You will also support the audio visual equipment in
use in the teaching and meeting spaces. The role will also provide
opportunities to assist in specific project support work alongside experienced
colleagues. Your role will bring you into contact with staff (academic,
research and administrative), students, Divisional colleagues and visitors to
the University who will need help with a wide variety of IT issues.

You will complete a City and Guilds, IT Software, Web and Telecoms
Professional Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship (Framework). This is a 2-year
post.



You should have, or be expected to obtain, GCSE English and Maths grade 4 or
equivalent and demonstrate an enthusiasm and aptitude for the skills taught in
the Apprenticeship.



Applicants should have evidence of their eligibility to work in the UK. There
is also government residency requirements for Apprenticeship funding which the
Training Provider will be able to advise on.
