One of the University’s four academic divisions, the Humanities Division is
made up of ten academic faculties, with over 500 academic staff and
approximately 6000 undergraduate and postgraduate students. The Humanities
Division has embarked on a major building project on the Radcliffe Observatory
Quarter, following the recent announcement of the £150 million gift to create
the Stephen A Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities.



The Head of Humanities Education Planning and Support is the Humanities
Division’s most senior appointment responsible for education planning and
standards.



You will be responsible for strategic planning in relation to undergraduate
and graduate provision, education policy and quality assurance and
enhancement, working with the University of Oxford’s central administration
and its colleges on education issues. You will lead the Humanities Education
team in delivering a professional service in support of students and
humanities faculties.



This is an exciting and challenging position requiring excellent skills in
strategic thinking, developing and implementing policy, written and oral
communication, personnel management, and committee servicing. A senior member
of the humanities divisional team, you will need to relate well to staff at
all levels, having the ability to deal sensitively and tactfully with complex
situations.



This role is permanent and full-time.
