Part-time Shelving Assistant (Term-time, variable hours)

<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <p></p><p>The Bodleian Libraries are seeking a Variable Hours Shelving Assistant to work during term-time only in the iconic and busy Radcliffe Camera and the Gladstone Link, which houses the History Faculty Library and Bodleian English and History undergraduate collections. You will be required to re-sensitise returned books, sort them for re-shelving and finally place them back on the shelf.</p><br> <p>With the ability to communicate effectively, confidently and courteously with readers, colleagues and the public, you will also have an awareness of the importance of good customer care and be able to undertake routine library tasks with care and accuracy.</p><br> <p>This is a permanent, variable hours post. It is anticipated that you will be working approximately 7 - 10 hours per week during term-time (weeks 0 - 8). The working pattern is anticipated to include mornings from 9.00 to 11.00am and/or afternoons from 1.00 to 3.00pm, on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.</p><br> <p>This role involves lifting, shelving and moving books and other library materials as well as pushing trolleys and using kick-stools and a mobile step platform.</p><br> <p>You will be required to upload a supporting statement as part of your online application.
