<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <p></p><p>We are looking for an efficient PA and Project Assistant with experience of diary management and financial administration, along with excellent computer skills, to join the departmental administration team. You will provide high-level administrative support, personal assistant duties and research grant support to nominated Professorial, Academic and Research staff.</p><br> <p>This is a varied and stimulating role in which you will assist the nominated staff with all administration relating to their research group, teaching duties, committee work and other relevant areas. Key tasks also include diary management and handling correspondence; supporting the organisation of courses, international conferences and a research network; providing support for grant applications; tracking and monitoring financial information; supporting the administration of research projects; recruitment and staffing matters (in collaboration with the HR Manager).</p><br> <p>You will have the ability to manage and prioritise a varied and busy workload and work to deadlines, along with excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy. The ability to develop successful working relationships with academic and support staff colleagues across the department and in the wider University is essential, as is the ability to work with discretion and act with the appropriate level of confidentiality. Previous use of Oracle Financials or a similar financial information system would be desirable. Experience of working in a university environment, or workplace of comparable complexity, would be an advantage.</p><br> <p>This vacancy is initially to cover the current postholder&#8217;s absence on secondment, until 30 April 2021. It is full-time, but flexible working could be supported. This will be discussed with shortlisted applicants at interview.</p><br> <p>All applications must be made online.
